Welcome to April – the sun is out and the clocks have gone forward, so hopefully it won’t be too long until the swimming pools are ready for jumping into……………mine read 25deg yesterday afternoon………
The end of March saw us say goodbye to Mario, our chef, who has gone off on new adventures……… so we wish him well in all his endeavours…. but he is still around the area in his capacity of looking after gardens/pools and building work etc
This Saturday (4th) we have Ray Croft singing his way through the 50’s and 60’s – we still have a few places left – so if you would like to come please email me or phone the bar (965 638 945)
On Saturday 11th April we have the Race Night (flyer attached) this is an event to raise money for the Emaus Childrens Home. We are trying to help raise funds for their school books….. If you would like to have a bit of a laugh; a flutter to win some prizes and hot dog/chips please contact me as soon as possible – this should be great fun especially as Richard will be the one in charge of the races……. !!!!
If for any reason, you cannot come, then please donate some money towards the cause – every little bit will help – the children are in the home through no fault of their own, and need the kind, generous support of us all.
Tuesday 14th April at 1pm is our Spanish Cooking demonstration and lunch. Since Mario has now left us, Carmen who used to work at the bar (before Mario) has kindly offered to come and show us some scrumptious dishes. 2 courses and a glass of wine or a caña €8.50 per person.
Saturday May 16th sees the return of Duo Intermezzo – the fabulous opera duo with a 5 course dinner……… These singers are absolutely amazing and will stir your emotions. A repertoire of arias and pop within the opera style – this is opera fusion! Be prepared to fall in love……..
Saturday May 30th is a singer by the name of Nadine Peatfield who will be hosting a 007 night serving you Bond theme songs, shaken, not stirred. This will include a buffet and a table quiz on the Bond theme so brush up on your Bond trivia, the girls and the baddies……….
Saturday June 13th is the international singer JJ Jones. His amazing tribute is to one of the world’s greatest songwriters and performers of all time – Neil Diamond.
Saturday July 18th sees the return of Rob Sweeney whose first appearance last month went down with such a storm that the audience were demanding to know when he was returning before the evening had even finished…. singing everything from sixties pop to the present, show-songs to soul classics and lots in between. A tribute to the music and overall style of Michael Bublé.
